He sighed. He was almost forced to fall asleep. Of course the teacher's spitactular voice boomed in the class not allowing him to do so.With his shirt untucked, he just wanted to go play in gym. Maybe run track for a bit.
"...Furthermore, this is the...." oh dear god, somebody blast Michiko out the window. He really wanted to fall out the window right now. Or even better, fall off the roof. Open a window perhaps. The side of his face on his desk, he roamed his eyes. Blond, blond, blond, black, brown, brown, auburn, blond; jeez there were a hell a lot of blonds.
"What, is this town practically made of blonds," he muttered to himself.
"Excuse me, Mr. Shimanaka, did you have something to say?" The teacher's voice was light as if confused.
Holy crap, he heard him. He must have been really bored to not know he was starting to speak out loud to himself.
"Er no sensei, nothing."
He sighed, Americans and their weird language. They had to have so many forms of speech and such. Though he grasped the concept of commas and other such puncuation marks, it still irritated him nonetheless.
"Alright children, break off into pairs and work on the following assignment."
Huh what, what about assignments? He groaned, he didn't know what was going on, but it must be boring. He saw some blond girl (what a suprise) without a partner. Heh, might as well do this stupid project and get this over with. He forgot which was which as he barely paid attention to who was who in this class.
"Hey kid, you working with someone?" His voice sounded droned as if mastering this dull performance. Come on girl quick, quick we haven't gotten all day.

Her eyes somehow moved to the clock every twenty two seconds, yes it was ridiculously exact. How was it this class never seemed to end? She stared at the board attempting not to fall asleep. It was all too basic. Just a class where she learned English, Terra was fine with her current knowledge of the language. Personally, Terra was better with her hands anyhow. Writing was a pet peeve. She hadn’t thought it necessary to do the job she had been born to do. She was a person with a power she had special circumstances that went with her name. Though staying hidden prevented it from really being capable.
Since running away from her old school Terra was forced to join this private school, how meticulous was it. She managed top of the class with the grades seeing as the course was too easy for her benefits. She looked around sluggishly trying to peel her eyes from the clock for at least twenty two seconds, break that record. It was so hard though! Her eyes were found wandering back at the clock. Not even twenty seconds had passed. Terra had to stop thinking of the clock; it was playing games with her poor adolescent mind.
For a minute Terra couldn’t help but hide a grin from the annoyed teacher. Some kid was stupid enough to make a remark; she looked at him sheepishly understanding how he felt though couldn’t help but giggle at how naive he was for making such a bold move. Shifting in her seat Terra quickly returned to her position of keeping track of time though.
Her teacher sure was a spectacle at the front of the large room, his voice managed to echo off of the wall and bounce back to the front maybe even echo once more. Terra never had enough patience to listen to the same verse three times. It was just tedious at that point, the idea of school was a bore to the teenager. She glanced at the clock out of the corner of her eye. Only a minute had passed since the boy made a remark about the class. Only thirty minutes and thirty seven seconds left of the class, it was obvious Terra was uncomfortable in the simplistic class.
Well, this teacher had become annoying and cruel in a matter of seconds. The moment he announced ‘partners’, Terra cringed under the enjoyable tone of his voice forcing a laborious activity on the blonde.
Everyone seemed to bounce around with joy, picking a partner carefully based on past knowledge or relationships with them. Terra on the other hand was quite the outcast however smart she really was capable of. She had become accustomed to working alone, it was something easy and Terra wouldn’t have to trust anyone with her grades. But this boy came up to work with her.
It was the one who had made a fool of himself. She nearly glared at him before realizing they were both without the frivolous idea of a partner and shook her head tiredly, secretly masking her eyes making a circular motion in annoyance and disagreement.
He had called her “girl”as though she was a mere object. Terra really had felt the need to kill him right there but understood she couldn’t be quite so antisocial right then. She really didn’t enjoy the school atmosphere anymore with his company. ”Okay kid” she said looking up at him. “I’ll work with you.” she said shrugging, this was going to be an interesting period.
Ooc:I'm sorry, I got a little excited about the whole new role play thing...

He sighed, as he sat down. She seemed to not have any care for this subject either. What a surprise, she was obviously into this subject, now how was they suppose to get through this quickly. He'd figure it out as he took a seat opposite her. As he looked at her, she seemed vaguely familiar. Did he see her from somewhere or perhaps know her from years back. Hmm, this was odd, odd indeed.
"You seem as excited to do whatever this is as I am. Think you can tell me what exactly the assignment is per say?" Some kid came by and handed them a sheet of paper with what seemed to be an assignment.
"H-Hi Terra, you look pretty today." The boy was obviously shy and even more obvious was that he liked this Terra. Of course, he smacked his forehead in dumbstruck. How could he forget, the dummy he was. She was Terra, the former titan. He said former for the fact that he hasn't seen her with them anymore since he left on vacation. When they came back, the town seemed like a ghost town, streets empty, area strewn with slade bots as he knew they were. Pieces of crap. Matter of fact, that was also odd. Though his maother said she seen him hiding in the shadows here and there, he actually never saw him since he had been on vacation. If he had stayed he would have known the big battle between Terra and the Titans. Once the boy was gone he leaned in closer to her, in a whisper he spoke.
"Hey, you're that titan, Terra no? How come you don't fight with the titans anymore? And what ever happened with Slade? Did you finish him off or chase him away or something. It's funny how I suddenly remember what you look like."
Yep, that had to be the Terra girl, Terra. Whoa, not very unique with the name."Also, what are we doing exactly, I'm lost?"

Terra looked at him, watching him carefully trying not to stare at the clock the entire class period. He wasn’t happy about the assignment at least. It was a plus to working with him although she still hadn’t been very happy to do so. She looked at him critically before responding to him. She shrugged carelessly.
“Truthfully I paid more attention to the clock than the lecture.” She said blankly. She looked at the desk wondering what they would possibly work on when the boy came into sight; he was just passing out papers like anyone normal would do.
She smiled at him as he looked at her; he was obviously embarrassed by Terra although she couldn’t tell why. “Thanks, dude.” She said to him kindly as he handed her the paper. She looked it over a couple times before decided that was all her and this strange guy had to do.
She began to dig in her backpack in search of a writing utensil when she heard the boy, ”Oh God” she thought to herself now wanting to kill the person. Pulling out a pencil she looked at him, confused.
Terra was accustomed to playing the act of bewildered, she wasn’t about to put up with his questions. “What are you talking about?” she said looking at him, dumbfounded by such a question. “Yes, I’m Terra but I really don’t know what you’re talking about? Teen titans?” she said her eyebrows ruffling in confusion. She was amazing at acting the part of a confused teenager now. Her mind had grown used to lying to complete this act so ingeniously.
“You know, we need to work on this. I want to be finished.” She said melodramatic. She lacked emotion now; she didn’t want to hint to her past at all. She didn’t even want to put up with his ideas. Terra had a pretty strong past and she was probably more than capable of beating the Teen Titans though that was far behind her even if she had begun using her powers again. She wasn’t about to tell the story that haunted her memories. Ever.
Her hand moving across the paper as she began to do it without conformation from her partner Terra didn’t make eye contact with the clock again to fearful to look up and have to face the longing eyes of her new partner…

He narrowed his eye at her; at what she said. So she was playing amesia huh? Ok fine, he'd go along with for now. Don't know why any person would pretend not to be a member of the titans when that was an awesome thing to be. Stay in a big ol' mansion with a bunch of cool people, lucious beds he was sure, each with their own big room. Ah man, doing nothing but fighting crime and eating pizza. Now that was the life, plus he didn't need to deal with school either as it seemed that the Titans didn't go to one either. But fine, if she wanted to avoid it, they'd avoid it for now. He glanced at the paper she was looking at.
"Very well then, Terra. So what's the assignment we have. We should finish it soon as you said."
He sighed, this work was stupid. Wasn't being able to read and write good enough, now they had to study poems and works by old English people. How would this help them in the near future. He wondered what Americans what they learned (other than reading and writing) used this stuff as adults. His mind drifted back over from the dull thought back to Terra, the Titan. She had to be a titan, there was no doubt.she was the same terra slinging Terra and her little school get up, wouldn't change it. If he was able to get her to talk, maybe he could get her to talk with the Titans about his skills.

She looked at him slitting her eyes, he really was annoying her. She understood he hadn’t believed her. She rolled her eyes slowly looking at the dimwitted boy. “Here, I can do it.” She said reading the paper then writing in her answers quickly, she was annoyed by him.
Her eyes followed his gaze seemingly entering an entirely new world. Terra was beginning to get frustrated with this class. She looked at him and understood what he was thinking, she was the ‘oh so famous Terra’, and no she wasn’t going to be able to help him meet the teen titans.
She pushed the paper aside looking at him in annoyance, “Okay so here goes nothing.” Her voice dropping to a whisper, “I don’t care what you’ve been told or believe about me. It’s behind me now. I’m not a titan anymore. I’ve done too many wrong things to even be a part of them.” She said eyes longing for a change in her past. “And no, you can’t get a good word to them through me, they aren’t even aware of my existence at the moment.” She put her pen down with a hard smack and looked down unsure how to tell him all the wrong things she did in her life. “I’m not a good person, I’m not a good person.” She muttered to herself not really willing to talk about it anymore. Terra was strong, too strong actually. She had gotten help, something that both hurt her and assisted her. She may be a friend to the teen titans now but she wasn’t exactly sure, she wasn’t sure anyone would like her anymore. She was the person who betrayed them for Slade, and got pretty close to killing them. Her history wasn’t a bunch of flowers, there was no way she was seeing the teen titans for a while. Terra had just gotten used to this new life where she accepted her powers no matter how secretive she kept them.

He was brought out his musing from the rustling of the papers. He looked to see what she had written. He did his best to read upside down and looked at two questions before it started hurting his eyes. He rubbed them to get rid of the pain as he heard her mumble something. He was just about to ask what she said before she dropped her voice and spoke. He listened intently at her words. Guess there's more to blonds than pretty things. She seemed so familiar, like he met her before. No duh of course, she reminded him of Jinx. Terra seemed just like this, just on a more conscious talkable level. Bringing his voice to her volume, Michiko replied.
"You sound like a friend of mine. I seem to be attractive to people with depressing problems like this." He chuckled for a moment finding the humor in it all. "Seems like you have more problems then I led on. I apologize for bringing up your past like this. I did a lot of research on the various enemies and you never seemed to cross my data. Maybe you were a once very well criminal or perhaps just so low tech, you weren't worth being looked at by the Titans. You have memories with them, a past. Sounds like to me that you regret doing whatever wrong things you did thus meaning you must have some happy memories with the Teen Titans."
He sighed at this What was he doing, helping people. Guess it was the newfound hero in him making him help people like this.
"But you shouldn't run away from your problems. Nothing good will come of it. It ate up my friend and she's so insecure, I have to force her to spill out her problems and force her to accept my help."
sorry this post sucks donkey doo, but forced myself to write this. Though I am liking where this is going.

Terra puffed out her cheeks looking to him, nearly glaring. She wasn’t about to be compared to some brat who hadn’t really had any troubles in her life. She listened to him although never really took in what he was saying, she was bubbling with anger. She wasn’t some unconfident teen who needed help; Terra really did have a past and really had reasons for doing things the ways she had chosen.
”If you really want to know,”, she grumbled, ”I’m not someone you can judge straight off the back. I was once a teen titan, I ended up becoming an apprentice nearly killing the titans and then I killed the person I was an apprentice for. You know what, I can’t bear the thought of speaking with people I’ve hurt so much. It’s not my fault that your friend is such a dramatic kid that she’s killing herself from the inside out.” Terra looked at him one more time with a glare before looking down at her book bag and beginning to rifle through it, she wasn’t going to put up with any nonsense from her. Unlike him she was quite practical with the way she chose her methods.
Was it really Terra’s responsibility to help someone kiss up to the titans anyhow? Terra had strength, and it she had proven she changed enough she could have joined them but she was scared of them not trusting her, sure she was strong but she’d never be looked at in the perspective of a friend, or so she thought. Picking out a notebook Terra began to write words down, nonsense but the harsh pressure of the pen on paper soothed her angered feelings. Maybe she should just drop this class; it was far too simple anyhow. For now though, she’d just put up with the boy and allow him to annoy her to no end with the smidge of hope for answers… when in reality Terra wasn’t up to explaining much to him at all not unless he proved to be a decent human rather than this mess of assumptions.

He looked slightly taken aback as she silently yelled at him. Her words seemed reallly harshly thrown. Call it yelling quietly in his mind. Wel he did it again, he managed to get another person to hate him. This seemed only slightly different from before his change of heart. Then, he didn't care and it was mostly intentional. Now, he didn't actually mean it and wanted people to like him. He was still having a hard time now, as not many people had a change of heart for him either, thus the few to no friends he had. As he listened he tried to understand most of what she was talking about. Ok, so maybe this was different from Jinx after all. She seemed to have a strong spirit and lots of power to back it up. Yeah, the name Terra went with her quite well. He looked down at the desk as he felt stupid for pitying her. She was a potential friend and he may be losing his chance to make nice with her. He needed to clean up his mistakes and making more enemies wasn't the way.
"Err, sorry all that happened to you. I didn't know." Though I didn't ask either. That part he thought dryly.
Heh, she think she was the only one who had it rough, she didn't realize. Yet that probably wasn't something to flaunt around, saying you did actually kill while she didn't. He watched as she started scribbling something furiously. Did she actually bring around a diary or something to school? "We have a bit of time before we start going over this crap. So....during your normal hours, what do you do for fun?"
Ok sure, that was totally off topic but had to say something to keep her from being so darn angry. She could move the earth around and if she was angry and in a good clearing, she could piledrive his butt to Europe if she wanted to.
