Okay so he said he wasn't mad. Maybe he wasn't. Maybe Jinx had been wrong on reading his emotions. But either way he didn't seem too happy either. Oh well, she thought with a mental shrug, nobody's forcing him to do this. Just take a gift when its given, Jinxy, don't ask too many questions.
Looking away, she laughed. "Okay. Fine. So you're not mad. You're just a saint." She smirked, before adding (more to keep conversation going than anything--Jinxy hated silence) in an offhanded tone, "Why does everyone immediately mention my feline qualities? Sheesh, I'd almost say it was rude." She smirked, shrugging. They walked on in silence for a few more minutes, in which time Jinx kind of regretted not having some of the stolen chocolate. Even if stolen food did always taste worse than stuff you didn't have to sneak. Whatever. "So.....what, you're running a solo hero thingy? Or what? I figure you're not a new Titan--they travel as a group." Trust me, I know, she addded silently. To Jinx, who had never known such close-knit friendship even when she'd had a team, it seemed like they were so nice to each other around her just to rub it in. More paranoia, probably, well, of course, but that was just what it felt like to her. Like, sheesh, rub it in any more that you guys are all awesometastic friends who love each other and would kill for each other? It wasn't fair! Life isn't fair Jinxy. Well no shit, voice. Just look at how life is right now. Well, okay, not right now. Today was going better than things had gone in a while, nevermind the fact that he didn't seem to like her too much. But at least he said she was cute...For some reason, that was a highly redeeming thing in Jinx's eyes. Like okay you called me a banshee but at least I'm a cute banshee. Vain much? Shut up, voice, just let me bask in a compliment for a bit.

He sighed. COuldn't she just enjoy the peace between them without talking again. Sure he was already getting used to her witty banter but still quiet was always nice. Though he smirked nonethless. He was still trying to be that same saint she mentioned. Fighting for justice, though sometimes it was hard.
"We 'all' mention you feline qualities because make you attractive, rawr." Now he was having fun. He wasn't trying to flirt just trying to lighten the mood. Being friendly, being quiet and peaceful was his thing but sometimes for people like her, they needed laughter and a sense of trust more than anything. Though her eyes were nice to look at.
"I"m not much of the solo hero, but I have been playing solo for a while. Me and my brothers all work together usually, though for some reason I'm their maid, the little pricks. Though I do wish to aspire to be apart of the team someday. They crossed the imaginary border line entering Jump City, now they only had some blocks to go before they reached home. Town seemed to be quiet tonight, though even if it was rowdy, he was more the daytime hero anyway. He had school after all.

There it was again--him making a comment about her being cute or attractive. She knew he was just joking, and if it was anyone else she would have made a snappy, flirty comment by now but...There was something that held her back. Maybe because every time she'd joked even harmlessly he'd gotten mad. But even so...it had been a while since someone had said something like that to her in less of a catcall, wolf-whistle sort of way and more of a sweet, serious way. For some reason, Jinx felt a pink blush creep up her pale cheeks, but maybe he wouldn't notice that because it was dark. Just bite your tongue, Jinx, be a good girl and not be a smart ass or a flirt. Waaaay easier said than done. She may as well have told herself to turn into a duck and fly up into the sun for how easy behaving herself would be if those were the terms. But hey, he was giving her a place to sleep and some company, so she could give him that much.
Being a maid? Oh man could she relate to that. Jinx almost told him so, but stopped herself; he didn't seem to like talking very much. But...now was a good oppurtunity to vent a bit, maybe build up their commeraderie. "A maid, you say? I can totally relate. Maybe you don't know what its like to be the only chick with five guy teammates sharing a tower." She laughed, ruffling her short bangs as a host of fond and not so fond memories flooded her cerebrum. Man, no matter how much they hadn't appreciated her, no matter how jerky they could be, Jinxy still missed them. Sometimes. But now wasn't the time for that. After a moment, she added softly, "It is nice to be part of a team though." No matter what, she had to admit that much. She missed it. A lot.
Jinx let the silence fall back over them, no matter how much it annoyed her, falling into a pattern of brooding thought as they walked further into Jump City. A mini-version of nearby Gotham, Jinx found she loved this place. It was familiar, in that way only a street kid could appreciate. The crime (which she was a part of), the buildings, the people...it was familiar. That was nice. Jinx was a creature of habit. She found that thanking him kept cycling back up into the top of her thought process. Jinx wasn't one to thank people usually (mostly because not a lot of them did anything worth a thank you anyhow), but it kept nagging at her to. Maybe he'd appreciate it. If nothing else, she appreciated it. All he was doing for her, that was. Softly, "Wind Rider?" She paused before continuing. "Thank you." For the place to stay. For the company. For caring. For not giving up on her just yet.

That could be a good change for her. He was tempted to imminently say she could join his team, but they were just getting to know one another. It could be saved for another day. "Heh, I probably don't know what it's like to have a single girl with a bunch of guys, but it must be pretty exclusive and all. Being the only girl, they must practically be dogging you just to sit next to you."
They pasted the pizza parlor, the streets moderately full. It wasn't that late in the night so people were still having a good time now. To not draw any attention to them, he took a more barron trail with less people there. "No need to give appreciation. You don't know for sure whether you'll be totally content with it or not until you live there. But you're welcome anyway.
He whipped out another chocolate bar. Bet she didn't see him steal this one. "You sure you don't want any chocolate," he said as he smirked mischievously. Bet she was shocked by the fact that he had another one. The night was quiet as the moon shone in it's quarter full twilight.
Lame and short I know, but it's really early on my end (7:09AM)

Oh gosh, he overestimated her (ex) team members. They'd been too busy playing video games to even bother with her like that! It had been hard to even pull out of the tower for missions--she'd been doing a lot of solo stuff when Kid Flash had came into her life. "Oh no hun, the complete opposite in fact. I doubt they even knew I was a girl," She said with a light shrug. Hey, it had pissed her off in the past (and, okay, it pissed her off a bit now) but it was in the past and that's all that mattered. Wow, you almost sound like you're coming to terms with it. Not even, voice, don't worry I'm still fucked up as ever. Well that is a relief. Shut up voice.
Jinx noticed belatedly that he had taken a side street to avoid people, and she was glad for that. People sucked. They annoyed her, they pissed her off, and they pretty much were no fun at all unless you were messing with them, which she was sure Wind Rider would not allow her to do right now. They'd either be giving her looks like "oh my gosh who is that pink-haired goth freak", looks like "you know who that is?! that lame wannabe criminal Jinx", or ignoring her all together. Being ignored was preferrable out of the three, but avoiding them all together was even more preferrable than that. "Hm....Let me think." She said, holding her two hands out like the levels of a scale. "Live on the streets--" Here she raised her left hand up a bit, "Or sleep in a bed?" Here she raised her right and lowered her left. Then she alternated raising them like she was weighing her choices and she laughed. "Uh, yeah, we're gonna go with option number 2." She laughed again, God I am such a smart ass!
Mmm chocolate. Jinx raised an eyebrow, that sneaky little bastard! He totally could be a good thief...Better not mention that though... She thought, trying to be good like she was. But then again, chocolate was chocolate no matter how you sliced it, and if you weren't even the one to steal it, theoretically shouldn't it taste just as good as if you'd gotten it by other, more legal, means? Hey, sounds logical to me! She grinned. "Thank you good sir." She curtsied jokingly, before unwrapping the chocolate and eating it a bit at a time. Jesus, she'd forgotten how good legally-obtained (on her part at least) chocolate could taste!
[ooc: 7 am?! Why are you up that early?! xD]

He decided to test his flirtation skills. He always knew and people knew that he sucked at flirtatioin. Mostly because he was a shy kind of guy when actually trying to ask girls on a date.
"Hmm, that's too bad. And here I thought, even that Gizmo character, the short bald one I presume would ask you out on a date. You are definitely beautiful enough, no?"
He chuckled to himself, that was terrible but hey he tried. He wasn't serious about what he said anyway, so it didn't matter. She went against his suggestion of giving thanks and he only shrugged. Eh, alright then, if she said so. She soon took his chocolate, giving a curtsy.
"Could you be any more of a smart ass?" he asked jokingly. Seems like she was enjoying the chocolate. They walked a bit more before coming across a nice quiet street where a 7 story tall building stood. He took out his key and unlocked the entrance to the building and entered it. It was pretty big and clean. He decided to take the stairs this time. He had no patience for the elevator. He got to the sixth floor and went to door 6C". After opening it, he entered the room showing it's vast space (for the sake of my time, I'm not describing this home as its temporary). You could discern the kitchen from the living room even though there was barely anything there. The most that was there was a basic stove and a hall behind it. If you went down the hall, you could see a large room, well three of them actually each for him and his brothers separately. All that was there was futons, book bags, and school books with a set of clothes, in each room. Of course there some blankets and handheld video games. The room on the left had a bunch of art supplies there, being various pencils, various art pens, various papers and a sketch book, not to mention just some random novels and comics.
"Here we are. If you go down the hall, you'll pass a bathroom and there will be three rooms. The one on the far left is mine, you'll be sleeping there for now. Sorry for this place being so barron. It's only temporary as we get our home revamped. There's some blankets in the closet of various colors. Pick your choosing."
There was a note on the fridge next to the stove. It read:
Dear Michiko,
We are sleeping over our friends house. Sorry for not telling you sooner. Just keep our stuff in our rooms for now. Ja Ne.
Ah no wonder why this place was cleaned when he got back. This would be akward them two alone.

Wow, he was really laying on the flirting, huh? It made Jinx feel odd. She knew he was probably just messing with her (or maybe she didn't know that, but being as low of self esteem as she was she could only assume that was why he was saying such things, the poor dear), but it still made her feel like blushing or giggling or something. What the hell?! She knew he was being all smiley and nice, and she should just be glad she'd managed to get him like that and take the compliment, no matter how unserious he was about it, but it made her stomach twist a bit. "It would appear I'm not." She said, regretting her dark tone as soon as the words had left her mouth. Dammit, why couldn't she just be happy for one whole day? Well, let me see, because as of late you haven't had any reason to be happy for any length of time at all, let alone a whole day? So that was where her smartass side came from. SHUT UP, VOICE! She was really starting to piss herself off, and that unhealthy throb in her chest that she felt when she was thinking she was particularly unstable was starting to come back. But Jinx, remembering she was trying to be good (and knowing that her bad moods often made her want to inflict the same unhappiness on others), stifled any more negative, self-loathing, angry, hurt, or otherwise bad comments she might spout off without thinking.
"Could I be any more of a smart ass? Sure, don't tempt me buddy or you'll be sorry." She warned with a dark grin, totally joking but being a good enough actress to look the part. She gave him a look like she was daring him to say something, but by then they'd reached the top of the ridiculously high staircases they'd been climbing. Jinxy wasn't afraid of heights, but it bothered her being so high up nonetheless. These things had always made her the teensiest bit claustrophobic (it would be easy for someone to seal off your escape route), but maybe that was just the criminal in her. The apartment he shared with his brother was spacious, pretty bare, but hey, who was Jinx to complain when her "living room" was whatever building she could break into to sleep in? Jinx realized he was giving directions and she tuned in again, scolding herself for zoning out. "...Sorry for this place being so barron. It's only temporary as we get our home revamped. There's some blankets in the closet of various colors. Pick your choosing." "Hun, compared to living on the streets, do you know how nice this is? And whichever color is on top of the stack is good." She smiled warmly. Wow, I'm really gonna have some place to sleep tonight. It seemed a bit surreal to her. She followed behind him dully, feeling a bit out of it and daydreamy. A note on the fridge caught her eye. Hm, isn't that convenient. She thought, trying not to smirk. Nah, he's not that kinda guy to pull some sneaky thing like that.

He shrugged, as he threw his jacket on the floor. There was no chair as they usually sit on the floor and eat. Even if they were living in Ameirca, they stuck to their Japanese heritage (more him than his brothers), though they decided against bringing their Kotatsu, as that required more work than necessary and they weren't staying long anyway. Not to mention being custom made and imported from Japan to Jump City which was costly in itself. He walked over to his own room and first took down a random colored sheet and the top cover which he didn't care to see what color or pattern it was.
"Alright there ya go. I'm going to go make dinner. There's some magazines in the kitchen if you want to look at some. Do you want anything in particular?"
Eh, it was more polite to actually make dinner rather than heat up a canned meal or one of those "tv dinners" as he heard so much about. Plus chinese food wasn't something he felt like waiting to order. He set his way for the kitchen, taking his sketch book and set of pencils before brining them to the living room.

Jinx took the blankets and offered him a smile as thanks, removing her shoes and padding her way down the hallway to set them in Wind Rider's room, before peeking into the bathroom to check it out. People who had never been homeless tended to take advantage of simple things like running water and not realize how lucky they were, but Jinx was going to take advantage of having the ability to shower whenever she wanted, though of course that didn't mean she would take like ten showers a day. Just...she may take a bath once or twice before he got fed up with her and kicked her out (because in Jinx's mind, that was exactly what he would end up doing, be it in a day or a week). Jinx realized belatedly that he was talking her, so she poked her head out of the bathroom and returned to the living room, tight-clad feet making no sound. "Nope, as long as its hot and edible," She grinned, heading into the kitchen after him.
Snagging one of said magazines, Jinx sat down cross-legged with her back to the wall to flip through it, but nothing in it caught her attention. She'd never been a magazine kind of gal, and reading had never been as fun to her as writing had been, which she realized was ironic because they went hand in hand. Setting it to her side, Jinx folded her hands in her lap and cocked her head to the side, watching Wind Rider work to cook something, smiling idly. It was all kind of surreal to her at the moment--she couldn't believe her luck. Wait. That word...luck. She was having good luck. The thought pretty much blew Jinx's mind, and she was seized with the urge to dance about happily. But...she didn't. Restraining herself, the teen instead merely leaned her head back against the wall, allowing her eyes to close for a second. She hummed gently, something she hadn't been happy enough to do for a long time. Singing was one of those secret talents that Jinxy harbored that no one had ever known about. Well, except for Wally...

He shrugged and pulled out one box of "Hamburger Helper: Italian Sasuge Flavor" andone 2 pounds of ground meat. With the two pots already on the counter he began to work. He would have taken out say about 3, but he wasn't feeling that particularly hungry (he was as hungry as an average person should be) and he knew she wouldn't eat that much. Well hopefully anyway, this was just a hypothesis (not describing the methods of making said meal). Oh, seems he was going to have an audience. Was it that important that he make the food. What was she going to criticize it or something? Oh wait false alarm, she was just going for some magazines. Mostly it was comprised of game, art and anime/manga magaizes. Though there were very few magazines there like gossip crap, stuff for "cool" teens and the like. They only had those because it was given to them for free. Guess they had a extra year membership or something. He didn't know. Though sometimes there were some mail that was for this home which they only took the magazines because, hey what's wrong with reading something out of you're safety zone eh?
"Nothing there of interest, my lady, though you seem to be smiling for some reason." he spoke not turning his head towards her as he added the seasoning.

Jinx had to admit that whatever he was cooking smelled really good, and for about two seconds, with her eyes closed, she could imagine she was at a happy home where a mother and father were collaborating on dinner while she took a quick nap, maybe listening to some music or having just finished her homework. It was a bittersweet imagining, bitter because she could never have it but sweet because even as weak as her imagination was (from lack of practice, surely), it was still a nice picture.
She felt a bit sleepy, and felt herself slipping into her happy little daydream, until he was talking, a smile evident in his voice even though his back was turned. Smirking, her tone suggested if she was standing she'd have her hands on her hips as she replied, "What, I'm not allowed to smile?" She stuck her tongue out at his back playfully, before adding thoughtfully, "But nah, my own life is fucked up enough without reading about celebrities, and living with five boys was enough to kill any interest I might ever have in video games. But if you must know, I was smiling because I had an ironic thought. Wanna hear it?" She asked, knowing he did. Well, hoping he did. Maybe she was just being overly indulgent--spending some time in the company of someone who didn't see her as a stupid villian or a street urchin made her feel, if only in a miniscule part, better about herself. But then again, Wind Rider's mood swings were just about as erratic as hers (note, she said just about, not as--no one was that crazy), so maybe he'd snap at her all of a sudden. She hoped both of their mood swings had leveled out for the most part, otherwise this could be a long night alone with him in this cramped apartment.

Now he leaned on the wall opposite to her, head down, eyes close smirking.
"No you're not allowed to smile." He stuck his tongue out at her finally allowing himself to relax. Though he couldn't allow this for long. He was out of character enough as it was. "I don't follow much of the celebrities of this country. Though there are cute celebrities here I will admit, I rather keep up to date with my own country."
He dumped hamburger helper in the pot with the ground meat in it and started to stir it, making sure that everything mixed together. Now he just had to allow the cheese to heat up and melt on said meat and noodles.
"Hanging with 5 boys, I wonder how that would affect your mannerism. plus since living with said 5 boys, how come you never dated any of them. Did you have relations outside the group." Ah this would be perfect. Talking about her problems over dinner, it's so obvious.
"I'm pretty sure you're going to tell me your dream anyway." He smirked, he was teasing but would she take that hurtfully. Hopefully he could counter what she says if she did feel hurt.

"Dreams and thoughts are not the same," Jinx pointed out thoughtfully, metaphorically sidestepping the trap he laid out to make her mad. Maybe the domestic scene was, well, domesticating her some? That was an odd thought to her, but not necessarily a bad one if she was being completely honest with her. The "good" side of her loved the idea of settling down and being happy. Even the "bad" side of her had to admit it sounded nice. Even if it wasn't exactly as she'd always pictured it (it had almost always had to do with parents, or up until recently, Kid Flash), it was still nice. Realizing she'd been musing and thus hadn't answered her question, she fixed a serene smile (one that admittedly was a cross between sexy, scary, and slightly mad) on her face. Matter-of-factly, sweetly, with the air of that of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland stating fact, "Why, just that I'm having good luck today." The girl smiled beatifically, well aware that with her growing sense of mischief it also carried an edge of lunacy. She rather liked scaring people a bit, it was fun.
"Well, actually, if anything it made me more determined to not be a tomboy," She said, shrugging and pursing her lips as she thought it over. It was a relatively harmless topic right now, with her in her current good mood, but all of her acting skills failed her when she tried to cling to her smile at his next question. Jinx felt like her insides had caved in, her little temporary bubble of happy popping with it. Of course. Silly, stupid, selfish me. Who am I to think I'm allowed to be happy for too long? Jinx berated herself mentally. I don't deserve to be happy. Feeling herself slip into brooding, Jinx sighed inaudibly, wrapping her arms around her chest like she had outside the store, as if afraid her heart would break and shatter out of her chest if she didn't keep it together (literally). All her feelings she'd done an okay job of stifling all night came crashing back down on her. Glancing down at the carpet beneath her, Jinx's voice was softer. "Well...'cause none of them ever noticed me. They saw me as one of the guys," It seemed for a moment like she was gonna leave it at that, but then she was speaking again, because if there was one thing Jinx had realized about herself, it was that when upset she had the unfortunate tendency to keep talking (and revealing too much) when all she wished she could do was slink away and curl up somewhere dark. "I've only ever had one guy like me. He.." Here she tried (and failed) to smile weakly, her lips lifting only slightly at some ghost of a memory she did not divulge, "...He, ha, went off to find better things." That was not what Wally had told her when he'd left, when she'd said (and then begged) to be able to come along. He just hadn't understood her when she'd said, cried, that she couldn't be good without him, that she needed him. He hadn't outright told her that, but she knew that he was just too nice to say it. It was that horrible vision that kept revisiting her. Wally, somewhere better than Jump City, with someone better. Jinx realized distantly that she was going through another mood swing but she didn't care. The fact that she wasn't crying (Jesus fucking Christ, I'm so out of control! She thought in anguish) was in itself a goddamned miracle.
[ooc: to any of you loverly people stalking this thread, it helps to compare Jinxy when she's in states of playful "madness" to the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, or the Caterpillar from Alice In Wonderland, click each name for a vid hahaha : D And NO I don't mean the sexiness factor, I mean the sheer maddening calmness to the lunacy plus how easily they can turn haha]

Hmm well guess they did something right after all. Being with those jokes of a villain called "Hive 5"only kept her beauty. Whoops looks the the food was ready. Just as he was about to reach for two plates, he stopped at hearing her declaration. So this was one of her problems. Some guy dumped her and she must have been heartbroken ever since. Damn, how was he gonna deal with love problems. After all, he never had a girlfriend before (only dreamed of one girl writing sappy romance stories involving the two). Well he could try he guessed, but this was going to be annoying. She must have really taken to him to be this upset about him. He continued his reach for the plates. He took out two forks and a large spoon and started to heave his plate. Once he was done, he handed the spoon to her.
"Come on, eat. I can tell that distraught you. It's written all over you're face. How about we eat and talk it over. It could do good other than keep it up all bottled up inside."'

Despite his words seeming to expresse genuine concern for her, Jinx got the feeling he thought she was just some emotional girl who'd been dumped. But of course, that was what everyone thought. And how could she explain it to them? When she'd first met Wally, she'd hated him. Absolutely loathed him. He was the one cruel enough to tell her what she'd always hoped but knew in her heart could never be true. How dare he take her sweetest dream, her biggest hope and so cruelly dangle it in front of her, reopening the hurt and failure of it all? But when she'd gotten past that (she honestly could not remember when or how or why initially), he had helped her to actually, if only for a small while, make his words come true. It had been the hardest thing she'd ever done, but it had probably been the most rewarding too. Not everyone had accepted her, but hadn't that always been her life so far? When Wally had left, it had been so much more than a boy leaving. It had been her one (in her mind) true chance at love walking out the door. It had been her only chance, her only hope, of being good giving up on her. It had been the one person who'd cared abandoning her. It was so much more than just one boy. But how could she explain that to this boy? How could she ever explain that to anyone? I can't, was the morose answer, but Jinx didn't tell him that.
Instead, she shoved down her rising depression to somewhere where it could lurk and gnaw (as she always did), taking her plate and placing a fair amount of food on it, following him and sitting crosslegged on the floor again, crossing her legs and messing with her food. It looked really good and smelled just as good, if not better, but she really didn't think she could eat anything now. Which was a shame--this was good food. Bottling it up...Ha, but that's what I do best. She thought ruefully, and then repeated her thought aloud for him, glancing up from under her bangs. She felt like telling him once again that she was beyond help, but she was sure he'd get tired of hearing that by the time she left his house, so maybe she wouldn't just at the moment. She was too fucked up for anyone to help, Jinx just knew it. Stifling it of course did nothing to help anything, and in fact only made it one hundred times worse, but staying silent became a habit, one she couldn't easily break. She realized she must look downright morose, and the thought occured to her to fake a smile and act at least a bit happy so he didn't think her a bipolar basketcase, but of course, that was what she was (in her mind, at least), so why pretend otherwise?
[ooc: poor Jinxy! : O]
