Beast Boy somewhat resembles a dog. No, I don’t mean look wise. I mean social wise. Dogs tend to like companions, preferring to be around people rather than abandoned somewhere deserted. If left alone, they’ll usually be found moping in lonesome. Well, Beast Boy is exactly like that. He enjoys spending time with his friends much more than he enjoys sitting in his secluded room, boredom ranking its sharp claws through him. When the Titans first met, he was the most eager, trying hard to find new companions. It was a while since he’d left the Doom Patrol, alone for the entire time. He was desperate to find new friends, obvious with his constant efforts to get to know the other heroes. Whether that worked or not, the Teen Titans had eventually formed, Leaving Beast Boy with the grateful impression that he was about to be around people.
But, currently, he was not.
In fact, currently, he was standing in a deserted hallway situated inside the massive tower he called home. Lately, the Titans had been ignoring him, Well, not ‘ignoring’ per-say. More in the lines of being too busy. It happened sometimes. There were phases where Beast Boy spent hours loosing playing video games with Cybrog, trying to force Raven into a game of Stankball or “America’s newest sensation”, joking with his friends and just being the “Beast Boy” everyone knew. Then there was the phase where nobody had the time. He tries to spend time with his friends, really he does, but they’re all busy with something else. That leaves Beast Boy with the three: he, himself and Beast Boy. In another words: he was alone.
Beast Boy loathed being alone. He always switched on the TV at such times, watching the box for hours on end. Sometimes, they’ll be nothing on and he’ll just switch through the channels aimlessly, a bottle of pop on one hand. No matter how much he loved the TV, it was obvious the social animal wasn’t too happy. He’d just spent who-knows-how-long watching the thing, finally deciding to turn it off. Now, he was standing in the hallway, silence all around him.
“I’m going to go to the park just near here, ok dudes?” He announced, pausing as if waiting for a reply. Silence. “Dudes?” More Silence. If you were to see him, you’ll see his face drooping down gloomily. They probably can’t hear. This tower’s huge. Not that it mattered anyways, they were all too busy. Plus, he believed some of them weren't even in the tower. With that, he left it for the park. The changeling liked the park like, once again, dogs did. He couldn’t place a reason behind his love for it, just that it had that awesome aroma. Perhaps it was the fresh air? Most people would be craving for it after hours of watching TV, but, whatever the reason was, he was soon in the park he liked.
He was in the form of a green dog. He usually morphs into a dog when he’s feeling an immense amount of a certain feeling, this time being loneliness. They also represented the certain feeling. For example, he’d morphed into a hound when he was angry at Terra as opposed to the moping dog when he felt heartbroken. Currently, he was in the shape of a moping dog too, but unhappy with the solitude. With his head down, he padded slowly through the wet grass, ignoring the odd looks people were giving "the green dog”. He stepped onto the rode, wanting to get to the other side of the park. He forgot to look both ways, however, and was unfortunate enough to have a car whooshing his way. He stood there, surprise slapping him with its cold hands. He wasn’t even able to move and was soon blinded by the lights.
[OOC: Ok, so I thought somebody had to start the RP and decided, why not me? Except I stink at starting Rps. So, sorry for the bad start. You can do whatever you want. You can have the car stop by itself, have your character catch sight of Beast Boy and order the car to stop or even have the car hit him (as long as he gets healed sometime or something). You can also RP Beast Boy falling unconscious or getting thrown off by the impact if you decide you want the car to hit him, I wouldn’t mind. ]

'What I wouldn't give to just be able to lay on the ground all day and never have to worry about anything' Allister Hale thought quietly. In the park, the boy had dropped to the ground. It was the only break hes gotten all week. He was exhausted from having to go back and forth from the hospital, to his house. Constant medical testing, trying to be as "normal" as possible, and fears of others, all threatened to make the young teen's brain implode.
Unlike most super powered teens, Allister's parents refused to believe in such things as 'powers' or 'gifts'. Even if they saw Terra's ability to move rocks, or Kid Flash's amazing speed, they'd call it "illusions". They were hellbent on believing their son was normal. Although, everything that happened seem to contradict with their beliefs.
As the clouds moved slowly, Allister saw it was time to reply to the vibrating cell phone as his mom sent him a text him, again. Every ten minutes, she sent him a text generally the same thing. 'Are you okay?' or 'Did you remember your gloves?' and much more obnoxious texts.
Pulling the phone from his pocket, Allister shoved himself off the ground. He sat up, scanning the text and replying quickly. It was a simple 'I'm fine' with no sarcastic remark, annoyed rant, or angered scolding. He put the razor away once sending the reply away, like the obedient kid he was.
With a saddened sigh, Allister shifted his position, easily rising to his feet. His dream of laying in the grass all day was dashed by the familiar sensation of an upcoming fear. As Allister turned to walk away from it, he paused in mid-step. The fear was slowly growing stronger, and Allister instantly felt it taking over.
All the information was processed into his mind before the boy could even blink. With a swift turn on the ball of his heels, Allister's black sneakers went from the grass and met the concrete of the sidewalks. As he began to approach the source, a small amount of information began to slide into his head.
Beast Boy, a shape shifter- That was all Allister would pay any attention to. The rest of the information was very basic. Gender, video gaming being a favored pass time, and the fact a car was about to run him over. That caught his attention, especially considering all of this was coming from the green dog straight ahead.
With a quick dive, Allister smacked into the green dog and both were sent rolling across the street. As they came to a stop, Allister sprawled on the ground with Beast Boy on his gut. The gloves on Allister's hands became drenched in cold water as they tried to freeze over. He moved his hands from Beast Boy's back, heavy pants coming from the rarely athletic silver haired boy.
The car screeched to a stop, Allister's figure jumping out in front of the car scared the crap out of the driver. A crowd formed around the two, the driver quickly coming to see if the two were alright.
Exhausted from the run, and silenced by the shock of the crowd around him, Allister didn't even bother to shove Beast Boy off of him. The teenager just laid there and waited for the air to come back into him. He was slightly battered from the rolling across the street, but, other then a few scratches, he was fine.
Usually, in situations of life and death, if that's what you could consider this, Allister would stay on the side lines. But, he couldn't bare the fear pounding through him. Nor could he stand the thought that, when the fear was gone, he knew the dog would've, most likely, died or been injured from the impact.

There were a few different words sprawling in his head as the car whizzed closer.
Got. To. Move. Out. Of. The. Way.
Simple, but somehow, the words failed to move him. Fear gnawed at his insides, growing by the second. Then came panic. But it was oh, so quick. All the intense fear, panic and shock only lasted seconds at the most before a strong force bowled him over. He was sent flying through the air and landed hard on the other side of the rode with a grunt. He was also a human being now. Beast Boy always transformed back when he was thrown by an external force and this was no exception. The green boy felt something freezing on his back, quickly retreating along with the heavy weight. At the same time, he heard a car screeching and people running up to him, whispers dancing in the wind.
He scrambled up to his knees, bruised, but otherwise ok. There was a boy by him and he guessed he was the one who saved his life. Whoever he was. “Duuuuude, that was AWESOME,” he gasped. “You totally just saved my life. How did you do that?” It was obviously the most heroic thing ever. The boy could have been easily injured or, in the worse case scenario, died. He also must have been quick. Beast Boy was able to practically feel the car before he was thrown out of the way. If the boy had done it a second too late, they’ll both be in the hospital by now. Beast Boy didn’t think he could do it himself. Plus, most people would have just thought of the green dog as, well, a dog . Beast Boy doubted many would have been that brave which was why the dude, whoever he was, was labelled a “hero” by him.
That was obvious with the stars twinkling in his eyes, if not his words. One would never have imagined how depressed he’d been a few minutes ago. Naturally, Beast Boy made the connection with the TV he watched so much. Especially today seeing as he spent hours watching it. “It was like that episode in Save Me . Cleo was attacked by the robot aliens from planet Trableom and they tried to throw him into another dimension, but Daniel threw Cleo out of the way just when he was about to enter the dimension. If Daniel was a second to late, Cleo would have been stuck in that dimension FOREVER!!!” Beast Boy flung his arms up, raising his voice at the end for extra excitement. “Seriously, dude, that was sooooo cooool.”
The people who’d ran towards the two, wondering if they were all right, were now walking off. It was clear Beast Boy wasn’t too hurt. Although, some stayed behind with the curiousity of why the dog was no longer there.

Allister took in a huge breath when the weight was removed from his gut. He let his silvery-white eyes open slowly and he glanced around, taking his time to let things click. That's when he noticed, the green dog was no longer a dog.
That was, probably, the biggest relief he felt all week. For a moment, he thought a new twist had been added to his powers. Feeling animals' fears would've made going outside, and eating meat incredibly hard, probably impossible.
Allister blinked when the boy actually started talking to him. He turned his gaze from the sky, to the green shape shifter. With some effort, Allister managed to sit up. The hood that always hid his hair, had actually flown back from the 'heroic' dive.
'I never thought that saving a do- er... kid, would be considered "awesome"' Allister mused quietly. Usually, saving a kid would be something a hero, like Superman, would do. That would be considered heroic. Awesome was an interesting choice in adjective.
Letting himself breath a little more, Allister finally felt he could talk without having to gasp for breath. With a small smile turned towards Beast Boy, Allister replied "Uh... Th-Thanks, heh. You al-alright?"
His pocket began to buzz with the vibration of, yet, another text. Ignoring it, Allister rested his hands on the ground to support himself. As the weight was applied to the gloves, the pressure allowed the icy cold water to ease out of them. Starting at his gloves, a small stream of water began to make its way across the pavement, leaving a dark trail behind.
Allister, feeling the water brushing his fingers as it rolled by, glanced at the water trail and moved his hands from the ground quickly. He gazed at his gloves and paused, checking if fear was sneaking on him, again. He approved of the calm feeling going through him, and began to yank the gloves off to show his acceptance. As he pried the drenched gloves from his hands, Allister returned his gaze to Beast Boy to make sure he caught the boy's reply.

'I never thought that saving a do- er... kid, would be considered "awesome"'
Beast Boy gasped. It was clear this boy was trying to be humble. Well, that was how he saw it, anyways. To him, heroism equalled awesome. Not many people could pull stunts like this. That was why he liked TV. It was stuffed with action and heroic deeds. “DUH!!” He answered as though it was plainly obvious. “It’s the most awesome thing EVUR!! You’re like a real-life Trevor!” Trevor, of course, was Beast Boy’s favourite TV character and therefore a great compliment. He was a superhero in disguise kind of like this dude over here. Except different because this dude didn’t have any superpowers. Well, as far as Beast Boy knew, anyways. Most people would be surprised that he connected so much with TV. But this was only recently when “TV” was so fresh on his mind. He’d just finished watching it, after all.
Then the boy thanked him, asking him if he was alright. Before Beast Boy had a chance to answer, however, he felt cold water slowly expanding under his gloves. He scooted over, not wanting to be drenched anytime soon. The source? He had no idea. He looked around himself, trying to find it, but couldn’t. Rain? Nope. Somebody spilt something? Nope. The boy was now taking off his soaking gloves. Beast Boy guessed it was thanks to the water, but was surprised, wondering why the other wasn’t in shock at its sudden appearance. Was there something Beast Boy was missing? “Just a couple of bruises,” he answered, “I’m fine. You? And what’s with the water?” In truth, the bruises did sting, but Beast Boy was trying to ignore them. He wasn’t one to whine about a little scratch. It felt cowardly and childish. Especially in front of the guy who saved his life. He was trying to act “cool” and unknowingly failing because of the nerdy comments. Plus, he was used to it. He got bruises all the time from fights.
Minutes whizzed by before Beast Boy decided to speak again. “Soooo…I’m Beast Boy. Who are you?” Most people wouldn’t have introduced themselves or asked for the other’s name. No mater if they saved their life or not. They’ll probably just thank them, ask if they’re alright and leave. But, Beast Boy was not “most people”. He wasn’t going to do that. Well, not now , anyways. You see, Beast Boy was one lonely dude. The Titans were all too busy and he didn’t have any other friend. It was times like this when Beast Boy becomes desperate for a buddy to talk to. In fact, it was thanks to his loneliness that he met the Titans in the first place. Therefore, Beast Boy was determined to spend as much time with this dude as possible before dragging himself back to the tower.
It didn’t mater if he was a stranger. In a minute, he wouldn’t be one, after all. Plus, everyone were a stranger some time in one’s life. Even parents were before you got to know them.
“Want to go eat some pizza?” Beast Boy asked hopefully with a big grin, “My treat since you saved my life.”

“Come on.”
Pause. He hadn’t realized he had been mumbling to himself. Then again, he hadn’t realized the time either. A grumble came from his stomach before it got louder. He didn’t have time to eat though! He couldn’t. He was so close to finishing the newest Case File for Slade! It had taken him weeks to get this far and stopping right now was not an option. Cracking his knuckles the gloved hands rested on the keyboard as long fingers hurriedly began taping at various keys in a matter of seconds.
There, done!
His month’s work was finally complete. He had finally finished writing out his every experience with Slade, analyzing his fighting style, his apprenticeship, Terra, and typing out every word Slade had ever spoke to him. Now all he had to do was save and print the document. The boy wonder couldn’t help but smirk as he clicked on the file command only to end up realizing the cursor on the screen wasn’t moving.
“Oh, not now!” Dick Grayson, otherwise known as Robin, hurriedly clicked the mouse a few more times in an attempt to try and save his long work. Brows narrowed in frustration as he continued to click repeatedly; a bead of sweat slowly making its way down his face as he felt his stomach begin to twist and turn. “Come on, don’t do this.”
Beep.
Beeeeeeeep.
Click.[/b]
Robin dropped the mouse and watched in disbelief as the monitor went black before hearing the computer shut down. This couldn’t be happening. Sure, he had saved early this morning, but it had completely slipped his mind to save the other six pages he had completed. Laying his elbows on the desk and hiding his face in his hands he let out a loud and aggravated sigh before standing up and slamming his fist hard into the computer desk.
This wouldn’t do.
No, it wouldn’t.
He had been foolish to not save that file.
That was a mistake he wouldn’t make again.
Lowering himself back in his computer chair he began to type before realizing his stomachs growl had gotten noticeably louder. He hated his bodily needs. They were a hindrance to the more important stuff he needed to do. Deciding to try and ignore the loud rumbling of his stomach he continued to type; however, after almost ten minutes of the rumbling and the feeling of hunger starting to set in, he quickly saved his work so he could pause for a food break. Standing up, once again, he cracked his knuckles and exited his room only to pause in the hall as he realized that no one was around.
“They must have gone out shopping.” Robin said as he ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to fix it before heading towards the kitchen while shaking his head. “I’ll just make myself a sandwich and get back to my work.”
Kneeling down in front of the miniature white fridge Robin opened it only to have his lips twist into a disgusted frown as he saw the blue goop coating the food. His nose also scrunched up when he smelled sour milk - or maybe it was the goop – and it seemed the longer he stayed there the worse the smell would get. Shaking his head and gagging under his breath he slammed the fridge door closed and cussed under his breath annoyed. Well, this was quite the situation. A sigh escaped him as he turned his head to glance about the room. Was there anything worth eating in this mess of a kitchen?!
‘Okay, now one of us was supposed to go shopping.’ He thought to himself as he drummed his fingers on the counter and frowned slightly. ‘But which one-Wait, what’s the date? Whoa, I didn’t realize that I’ve been in my room working on those files for three days now. Great. It was my turn this week to pick up groceries.’
Where had his head been this week? Oh, that’s right; it was in front of the computer.
Scowling the boy wonder quickly grabbed a sheet of his personalized notepaper and red pen (with his symbol on it, just so Beast Boy wouldn’t touch it and get it lost) and began writing out a list of groceries they needed while making sure to include tea, waffles, mustard, and tofu on the list. When finished, he folded the list neatly and placed it in one of the front compartments on his utility belt. With the list made and money in hand, Robin exited the kitchen and made his way to the vehicle storage unit located under the tower. Placing the familiar red helmet on his head and putting the key in the ignition of the sleek red and black R-Cycle, Robin sped out of the tower via one of the many underground tunnels he used to get him to the city. Really, the tunnel idea had been Bruce’s, having spent a lot of time in the batmobile he used to consider it fun to guess which dumpsters or buildings opened up into the tunnel leading to the batcave.
Who would have thought that he’d end up using the same mechanism years later?
As he neared the exit of the tunnel, he quickly pressed a small red button located under the right handlebar, because the seemingly dead end to vanish as sunlight streamed into the tunnel while the wall lifted. The R-Cycle shot out of the exit which soon closed behind and turned into the normal incognito appearance of a rusted and rather old dumpster. Smirking, though it was hidden under his helmet, he reduced his speed and found himself snapping his head up quickly as he spied a green dog up ahead.
What the- Beast Boy?!
Still far away from the changeling, Robin felt his eyes widen as he saw the car speeding towards the other. There was no way he could make it over there fast enough. Holding his breath and tightening his grip on the handlebars, Robin waited for the car to impact his friend only to watch Beast Boy be shoved out of the way by someone. Relaxing himself he slowed down and briefly wondered if he should stop and check on the other.
It seemed he was okay, though.
No, Beast Boy would see him driving by, and he wasn’t in the mood to hear the other whining about his near death experience and how the boy wonder didn’t seem to care. Closing his eyes and muttering under his breath he skidded to a quick stop inches away from Beast Boy. Really, if he wasn’t such a skilled motorcycle driver, he probably would have run over the others toes. Fighting back the urge to laugh at the thought, even though he knew it was cruel, he quickly masked his emotions as he stepped off the cycle and removed his helmet before placing it on the seat.
“Hey Beast Boy, glad to see you’re okay. Be more careful, though, I’d hate to see you get hit by a car.” Robin finally said after a few moments of silence as he glanced at the two of them with a brow quirked. He didn’t recognize the boy who had saved Beast Boy. Taking a moment to study him in an attempt to access anything that could be a threat he quickly shook his head and stopped himself. No, this boy had saved Beast Boy from getting run over. Turning his head away from the two and glancing towards the street for a brief second, he finally turned back to them and gestured to the new boy. “You, the one who saved Beast Boy, thanks for that.”
Robin wasn’t going to ask the other’s name. He really was more interested in getting the grocery shopping done and getting back to work. Actually, he probably should have gotten that done first and just not of stopped for something like this.

Allister felt satisfied as Beast Boy reassured his health with another outburst about a television character. He chuckled slightly, a bit familiar with the one he chose this time. Although, he stopped chuckling when the green boy began to look around, as if trying to find something. Before being able to question what was wrong, Beast Boy beat him to the questions.
The first one was rather easy to answer. "Ye-yeah I'm fi-fine" he informed, the stuttering completely normal for him. Now, the second question was more of a challenge. He paused and shrugged, not able to speak the lie to the boy he just saved.
As the minutes of silenced ticked by, Allister was tempted to just say bye and leave. But, Beast Boy, again, beat him to speaking. Allister chuckled a bit and stated "I'm Allister Hale, nice to meet you."
The changeling was, hopefully, unaware of the fact that Allister had already known the shape shifter's name was Beast Boy. Allister hated learning these things from people. It was so hard to try and be the normal kid he once thought he was, when the constant appearance of his powered came up...
Did he say pizza? Allister blinked and smiled more at the offer to a free meal. He glanced at his vibrating phone and turned his gaze to Beast Boy. He stated "Yeah, I-I could go for some pizza. Heh, I sor-sorta missed Breakfast, anyways."
Once finishing talking, Allister turned his gaze back to the vibrating monstrosity in his pocket. He pulled out the phone, scanned the text, and quickly replied with a casual okay. No mention of just saving Beast Boy from being run over. His mother would flip and go insane with texts. She'd call the Air Force for all Allister knew.
As his eyes were glued to the phone, now to check the time, a motorcycle stopped right behind Beast Boy, spooking Allister at the thought of Beast Boy being run over. Again! With a quick flinch, Allister's hand slammed on the ground next to him. A small uneven mass of frost and ice spread from his finger tips to where his rear had been situated on the ground. Feeling the cool air rising from the ice, Allister quickly lied back on the ground to cover the spot. To bad he was unaware of the now frozen phone, which was on the ground next to him. He probably dropped it in mid-flinch. He, seriously, thought the motorcycle came out of nowhere!
He smiled nervously at the two and, finally, replied "N-N-No pr-pro...problem." It wasn't the freezing cold ice making him stutter, although, there was little doubt in his mind it was a factor. It was the fact he just froze part of the sidewalk, and had two boys right in front of him. Of all the powers he could possibly have, right now, he wished he had the power to make the ice turn liquid, and evaporate without being noticed.

Allister Hale.
Apparently, that was his name. And he was “fine”, though he didn’t sound like it. His voice stuttered…with cold? That was what it looked like to Beast Boy, but he didn’t understand it. It wasn’t particularly cold today. In fact, the sun was shining quite brightly. Perhaps he had a problem? Whatever it was, for once, it didn’t make Beast Boy ask. Surprising with his intense curiosity about everything, but somehow, he just pushed the thought away and ignored it. Maybe it was because he was beginning to make a friend. He didn’t want to ruin it. Plus, he agreed to go get some pizza! Beast Boy was about to cheer and drag him off when…
“ROBIN!!!”
That high pitched gasp came from the green teenage boy known as Beast Boy. Of course, he saw the dude before. At first, he caught a short glimpse of his cycle, but told himself “that can’t be Robin”. Then the cycle hesitated before approaching, Robin getting off. At first, Beast Boy couldn’t be too sure. But then the helmet was taken off and, sure enough, Robin’s head “glared”, for lack of a better word, back. Still, Beast Boy had his doubts. Maybe he was Robin's unknown twin from an alternative universe. Perhaps he watched too much TV? But, frankly, Beast Boy had an easier time believing that than Robin actually leaving his room. No, cross that, he was actually here talking to him. Beast Boy would have thought it more like Robin to just zoom off. So, with the surprise of Robin leaving his room added to that of him stopping by, Beast Boy could have been surprise itself.
“Is it really…you?” He asked with narrowed suspicious eyes. “Because if you’re not, I’m sure Cyborg can figure it out with one of his techno-things. So, you better tell the truth!” He had so many questions if this was indeed the Boy wonder. For example, why would he be here? What exactly was the “oh, so important” thing he had to spend three days doing in his room? Did it hurt to finally see sunlight (Beast Boy saw this happen in TV once)? But he knew that the questions will just annoy him off. He didn’t want that and therefore tried his best not to blurt them all, biting his lips. It was hard. Beast Boy was never one to keep his mouth shut about questions. Curiosity bit on his insides, bugging him until he just had to ask everything. Except, when he opened his mouth, something else caught his attention.
Part of the sidewalk was frozen.
Ok, now that was just weird. All along, he’d been ignoring these little odd occurrences, but he found it hard to now. The sun was shining for crying out loud and sidewalks didn’t just freeze-up. “Ummm…soooo…did this appear the same way as the water?” He asked Allister, motioning to the frozen sidewalk. He was concentrating on Robin’s sudden arrival and therefore didn’t catch Allister freezing the place-up. The first thing he’d notice was the sidewalk. But…he could guess.

Okay, now he really wished he didn’t come to a stop here. Beast Boy looked confused and was currently asking him if he was really the real Robin and this new guy seemed nervous. Fighting back the urge to just walk off and not say anything he closed his eyes behind his mask and frowned slightly.
“Yes, Beast Boy, it’s really me. You don’t need Cyborg to check me for batteries like you tried to have him do before.” Robin finally said after a few rather slow seconds as he opened up one eye and glanced at Beast Boy with a frown. He wanted to ask more questions, it was obvious. "Beast Boy, you can ask me questions by writing them out and leaving them on the bulletin board."
He'd reply to them by tossing them out and ignoring the green titan - but still, at least he was showing some consideration for the other. However, his idea of consideration was blowing Beast Boy off for work.
Speaking of which, he needed to update the titans training statuses.
Turning his head away he glanced at the new guy who he had never seen until this moment. Silver hair and eyes? How unique. But, why was he on the ground? Had he startled the other and caused him to fall over or something? Moving to make a ‘sincere’ apology for his actions he then saw something that stopped him from moving or saying anything.
A frozen cell phone?
Arching a brow the boy wonder moved a bit closer while ignoring the other’s stuttering ‘no problem’ replies. Funny, that cell phone was really getting his interest. How could a cell phone be frozen? Intrigued he stepped closer only to nearly slip on the frozen sidewalk he had stepped on. Quickly fixing himself and balancing himself on the now frozen sidewalk he glanced towards Beast Boy as he spoke.
‘Water?’ Robin thought to himself as he stepped off the frozen part of the sidewalk and knelt down in front of Allister with a brow quirked up. Narrowing his eyes under his mask he reached his hand out and grabbed the frozen cell phone before standing in a normal upright position and looking at Allister with an amused look. It was all obvious now, or so he thought, it appeared the boy had some type of power over ice. At least, that’s what he was guessing as of now. Tempted to question the boy about this but knowing that being curious was Beast Boy’s job and not his, he glanced at the frozen phone, feeling the cold going through his glove and onto his skin before his curiosity got the better of him.
“So, you have powers, huh? I’d say that trying to hide them is pointless especially since….you sort of froze your phone… and the sidewalk.” Robin said after examining the phone from each angle before leaning down and laying the phone on Allister’s lap. Not saying anything after that he stepped over the patch of frozen sidewalk so he could stand beside Beast Boy with a brow arched and arms crossed across his chest.

With a slight chuckle at Beast Boy's suspicions of the new comer, Robin, Boy wonder, Allister felt some relief when the two hadn't noticed the ice. Except, seconds later, that was exactly when they did notice. Allister really wished for snow or something to explain the ice.
Allister glanced at Beast Boy and then Robin, feeling the need to go crawl under a rock. The fear gone, now, he reached in his pocket and pulled the, slightly drier, gloves on. Allister shoved himself from the patch of ice, sitting up, again. His jacket slightly wet from laying on the cold water. He watched Robin slide on the ice, inwardly wincing at the sight. He didn't want people falling on it, nor did he want it there.
Beast Boy's question came first, so far, Allister was pretty used to the green boy doing that, so far. He mumbled "Uh... ma-maybe." Allister turned his gaze to the other boy, who seemed to have a more observant point of view.
Allister watched the other boy's movements and he paid close attention. The Boy wonder was considerably more mature and concentrated then the changeling. He winced when Robin suddenly started to slip on the ice, but managed to get his balance back. Turning his gaze to the ground, and not paying attention to them anymore. That is, until Robin spoke, again.
Quickly gazing up at the white that hid Robin's eyes, Allister felt like crawling under a rock to hide. He looked at his phone and winced at the sight. His mom was not gonna be happy when he showed her that. He gazed at it as Robin set it in his lap. The coldness easily sliding through his shirt and brushing his skin.
Allister picked the phone up and mumbled an apology, eyes locked on the phone, this time. He couldn't bare eye contact, now that he had been figured out. Allister began picking at the ice, the phone's screen turning black all of a sudden. Looked like the water from the ice had seeped into the phone. His mom wasn't going to be happy about that.

“Yes, Beast Boy, it’s really me. You don’t need Cyborg to check me for batteries like you tried to have him do before.”
There was only one way for him to know that: he was Robin. Another high-pitched “ROBIN” escaped the green boy, this time more certain and happy. He grinned, “How d-” It was then when he remembered the rest of Robin’s words. “Right: bulletin board.” Ugh, how Beast Boy loathed talking before thinking. It always made himself look silly and stupid in a bad way . Yet, he seemed to have a habit of doing just that. Why couldn’t he just keep his mouth shut? Beast Boy didn’t know. All he knew was that he couldn’t and it resulted in him constantly messing everything up.
Allister was obviously trying to reveal as little about his powers as possible. When Beast Boy had asked him about the water, he’d simply shrugged. Now, he merely mumbled a “maybe”. That was it. That was the only word that escaped this boy’s mouth. Well, at least the boy hadn’t lied, but probably only because of how obvious this was getting. To tell you the truth, though, Beast Boy was expecting this. Sure, if this was TV, the boy would have probably said his entire story, giving away everything about his powers and his background. But in real life? Nope and Beast Boy was smart enough to know that. However, part of him had that hope like it always does.
He watched the boy wince as he realized his phone was frozen. He picked it up and mumbled some apology. Why? Beast Boy wasn’t too sure. He began picking at the ice and Beast Boy noticed the screen turning black all of a sudden. That can’t be good . By the look of Allister, he was thinking the same thing.
Beast Boy could tell from the way Allister was trying to avoid eye contact that he felt uncomfortable over this. Once again, he was expecting it. But it made him uncomfortable too. Should he just ignore this? Or question him further? Part of Beast Boy wanted to know more, but another part told him it’s best for him not to. He wanted Allister to perhaps be a friend or, at least, hang with him for a while today. He was bored and something told him Robin didn’t want to. But if he pestered Allister some more, the boy would probably just leave. He was the first real person Beast Boy had talked to for much too long. Plus, the changeling could always ask latter. Maybe when Allister was more ok with it. It was possible Allister would even volunteer the information himself if Beast Boy was lucky.
“Soooo…are you up for vegetarian?” He asked Allister, deciding to change the subject. “Or something else? We can also go for tofu too, if you want.” He turned to Robin, “Do you want to come with us?” He grinned before adding, “Please, please, please, please…PAHLEEEEEEEESEEE!!” Morphing into a cute little kitten, Beast Boy widened his eyes a bit, glaring at Robin with the two enormous eyes. It often worked with Starfire. Perhaps it’ll do its charm with Robin, though Beast Boy doubted it.

As Beast Boy let out another high pitched squeal of his name, Robin just twitched his eye and fought back the urge to walk away. He never would understand Beast Boy, despite being a great detective who could keep his composure; the changeling did get on his nerves quite a lot. Then again, it wasn’t as bad as it used to be, he supposed. Considering the fact Beast Boy used to claim to be his ‘number one fan’ and called him ‘sir’ when they first met was a big difference then now. Realizing he had begun drifting off he began focusing on the scene in front of him. He never understood why some people were so uncomfortable about this kind of stuff. He, in every aspect, always tried to get better and improve in everything he did. Training with the best in the world, striving to be knowledgeable, keep everything in perfect order – was it so wrong to crave perfection? Staring down at Allister, Robin moved to say something only to jump back in surprise as Beast Boy suddenly popped in front of him and began talking about food.
Oh, that was right! He had to go grocery shopping, he had completely forgotten in these few minutes he had spent talking. Narrowing his eyes under his mask and glancing at his cycle he briefly wondered if he could sneak away without Beast Boy noticing. Before he could get his chance, though, Beast Boy was asking him to join them for some food. Well, this was unfortunate, but Robin was good at turning down Beast Boy.
Unfortunately, Robin had never been faced with ‘the face’ before.
Staring down at the large eyes and the tiny kitten body, Robin forced his face to remain calm. He couldn’t believe this nonsense! Beast Boy should have known better then to pull this – Aw, his eyes are twinkling – No, no! He wasn’t about to let Beast Boy win this argument by turning into a kitten. Holding up a hand, he coughed slightly and turned away as he adjusted his cape to try and regain his composure.
“I’m sorry Beast Boy, but I have work to do.” Robin said with his eyes closed under his mask as he nodded his head solemnly at Beast Boy; however, his plan soon backfired as his stomach let out a loud grumble which caused his face to redden slightly before he turned away and rubbed the back of his head with a grunt. Well, there was no use hiding his hunger, and he supposed he could go to the supermarket after it. Plus, he supposed, this would be a good way to see what was happening with Beast Boy considering he hardly saw the titan or hung out with him.
“Fine, Beast Boy, but right after I’m going back to work,” Robin grumbled under his breath as he glanced over his shoulder at Beast Boy. At least he didn’t let Beast Boy know the face had almost affected him, that would have been horrible and something the changeling would have never let him live down.

Allister turned his eyes from the phone, looking at Beast Boy when he questioned about food. A grateful smile graced Allister's face at the quick change of subject. He arched his eye brow slightly when the questions seemed to be about vegetarian preferred foods.
So much for pepperoni.
"Vegetarian?" Allister questioned, tilting his head to the side curiously. "To-Tofu..." he thought out loud, this time. He glanced at his phone, knowing his mom would have a heart attack if he didn't reply to the next text or answer any of her calls. She was over protective like that.
"I could tr-try it, I guess" Allister finally answered, looking back up. He'd just borrow a cell phone from them, or use a pay phone. Explain to his mother the situation with his phone, and be set for the night. He prayed she didn't send him home, though. Allister hoped his mom would allow him to hang with these two for a while, before, heading home.
After he answered, though, Beast Boy had turned to beg the other member of the trio to come along. By beg, though, Allister really hadn't thought Beast Boy would go as far as turning into an adorable kitten. At the sight of this, Allister couldn't help but chuckle. He must've been desperate.
Casting his gaze to the victim of the sad kitty eyes, Allister could tell by the cough and turn of gaze, even Boy wonder had trouble with denying those big green eyes. It surprised Allister when Robin had actually managed to decline the offer. Although, the stomach growl following afterwards didn't agree at all with the decision. Another soft chuckle exited Allister's mouth as Robin finally sucked it up, and agreed.

Allister didn’t like vegetarian. Sure, he never actually admitted that, but Beast Boy could tell. He was pretty good in interpreting body language. It came a long with his creativity and the dominate right side of his brain. But he sometimes wished he didn’t, like now. If he couldn’t, he could just go along with it. Now, however, it was more difficult. “You can eat some other type of pizza too, if you want,” Beast Boy decided. It used to often sicken him, watching others devour meat. However, after working in that crazy, for lack of a better word, restaurant, he managed to be more enduring towards meat. Plus, what most people don’t know is that Beast Boy would actually like to eat meat. He just can’t. It feels wrong whenever he does. But , deep down, part of him still would love to be able to.
“I’m sorry Beast Boy, but I have work to do.”
At that, the kitten’s eyes expanded some more, twinkling with sadness. Work. Of course. That’s what Robin always had: work. Beast Boy didn’t understand that. Why couldn’t he just procrastinate for once and have fun? Sometimes, the boy wonder seemed too uptight. Too serious. But Beast Boy was used to it. In fact, he would have had a total surprise attack if Robin had agreed. That didn’t mean he didn’t have hopes, however, and that they weren’t crushed with that answer. That’s why the sad eyes were now sparkling above a little unhappy frown which was currently quivering.
Soon, though, there came a hungry grumble from Robin’s stomach. So Robin was hungry? Before that could seriously sink in, Robin rubbed the back of his neck and grunted, grumbling a “Fine, Beast Boy, but right after I’m going back to work” . The kitten grinned and morphed back into a boy. “YAY!!!” That had been Beast Boy’s reaction, not being able to control himself. “IT’S GOING TO BE SOOOO AWESOME!!! We’re going to eat pizza and chat and I wouldn’t be bored anymore and-” Suddenly, Beast Boy realized he was rambling again. Ugh. Why did he always have to utter everything he thought of when he was excited? It obviously wasn’t a very good first impression and Robin was probably having second thoughts. “I’m doing it again, aren’t I?” He asked, “I’m sorry, I-ok, ok. Shutting up now.” His index finger and thumb met, impersonating zipping his mouth.
Yet, he decided to say three more words, "Come on, then."
It was then when he led the way, practically running with enthusiasm. The nearest pizza place was actually just a street away which meant he got there pretty fast. The delicious smell of pizza stuffed the place, forcing Beast Boy’s mouth to water. Pizza was probably one of his most favourite food item.

Robin pursed his lips ever so slightly as Beast Boy began rambling about how awesome this was going to be. Rolling his eyes under his mask and deciding to just leave his R-Cycle parked where it was, he blocked Beast Boy out. Of course, the chuckles escaping Allister hadn’t gone unnoticed and Robin just cast him an annoyed glance as if saying ‘You try and face that kitten and you see if you can handle it!’
“I’m sorry, I-ok, ok. Shutting up now.”
Quirking a brow slightly up from under his mask, Robin couldn’t help but tilt his head curiously. Beast Boy must really want him to hang out, then. Normally the changeling never apologized for the rambling he did. Chuckling under his breath, Robin soon found himself walking after the other – soon walking beside him as he stared straight ahead. It did feel off, though, knowing that Beast Boy wasn’t rambling. Realizing he ‘sort of’ missed Beast Boy’s rambling words and crazy gestures, the boy wonder let out a defeated sigh. Slouching his shoulders and crossing his arms, like a child who just got grounded, he turned his head away from the two of them as he walked.
“Beast Boy, stop apologizing.” Robin snapped as he slowly turned his head back to them, managing to keep his face still even though he was fighting back the urge to twitch his eye and lips annoyed. “Don’t stop being who you are because of me, we’re friends, just be yourself.” He said, glancing at the younger boys face as he nodded before remembering something about how physical contact sometimes helped prove a point. Tentatively he reached out and patted the others shoulder with one hand before jerking his hand away and lurching forward so he walked ahead of the others like nothing had happened.
"So...." Robin began after a long silence on his part. "We're heading to the nearest pizza place, right?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder at the two walking behind him with a rather forced smile.
He was going to regret this later, he just knew it.[/size]
